The Pray For Page provides suggestions that readers may wish to use in their prayers.  Issues may arise from news reports or current major events occurring throughout the world together with any personal matters affecting them, their family, friends, or any persons known to them.

Also some readers may wish to add prayers for special persons, or matters, that may be of importance to them or their families and friends.

Bishop Ian has provided the following guide for readers to pattern their prayer requests on.  Readers may use this pattern as is, or insert other prayer requests and thanksgivings, as they desire.

Confession, Praise And Thanks

Confess your sins to God.  Praise Him for the Gift of His Only Begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered and died on the Cross on Mount Calvary.

Praise God that the Lord Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross paid the penalty for our sins, and has clothed us with the Holy Righteousness of the Lord Jesus.

The Holy Righteousness of the Lord Jesus is most pleasing to God.

Praise Him for His solemn promise that all those who, through faith, believe in The Lord Jesus Christ, and are clothed in His Holy Righteousness, are saved from the coming Judgement, and will share in God’s Eternal Kingdom as His Adopted Children.

Family And Friends

Thank God for your family and the love, care, and support that they give us, whether they are your biological or adoptive family.

Pray for all homeless and forgotten people who have no family to love and support them.  Pray that God will provide for them and that the emptiness in their lives will be filled.

Community, Country, And World Leaders

Pray for the Community that you live in, together with your Country, and Leaders.

Pray that God will watch over our Leaders as they carry out their duties to provide stability and prosperity for the people under their care.  Pray that God may bless them when they strive to provide a better environment for their people.  Pray also that God may restrain them, should their plans and activities not be in the best interests of their people.

Pray for the countries of the world that peace and safety may be maintained.

Pray for the people of those countries who are ruled by tyrants, and leaders who have only self interest in their hearts and do not care for their people’s welfare.

Pray for those people displaced by war and civil strife, and for God’s blessing on those agencies who work to relieve the suffering that results from these Satanic scourges.

Pray for those who serve in the armed forces, and especially those who are on deployment to trouble spots across the world.

Pray that they may be kept safe from the dangers of the battlefield, and return home safely to their loved ones, and friends.

Pray that God will comfort the families and friends of those service men, and women, who do not return, giving them healing from grief, and pride in the service and sacrifice of their loved ones.

Pray for those who are suffering from natural, or man-made, disasters throughout the world, praying that God will provide food, water and shelter for those whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed.

Pray that God may bless all aid agencies as they seek to bring relief to the people of regions affected by disasters.

Pray for those who keep us safe, Police Officers, Fire Service Officers, Ambulance Officers and all Emergency Service Officers.

Those Who Are Sick

Pray for all who are sick, whether they are in hospital, in other facilities, or in their own homes.

Pray for the doctors, nurses and other medical staff who care for the sick, asking God that skill and compassion may be given to them as they carry out their work of healing.

Pray for those who are to undergo, or are recovering from, major surgical procedures.

Pray for those who are undergoing complex and prolonged treatments for cancer, heart disease, and all other serious illnesses.

Pray that God will bless all means used for the recovery of those suffering ill health.

Pray for those in mental institutions, psychiatric hospitals and those in drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinics.

Pray for those who are disabled and those who act as carers.

Pray for those who are in hospices facing their final days, and hours, of life.

Pray for all who minister to the sick and dying, that those who are afflicted, may hear of God’s love for them in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they may find Comfort, Peace, Joy, and Thankfulness.

The Holy Gospel

St Luke declares this about the Lord Jesus Christ in the Book of The Acts Of The Apostles,Chapter 4, Verse 12:

"Nor is there is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved"

Pray that God will use all His people to proclaim the Holy Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world.

Pray that God will raise-up Ministers of the Gospel to lead and inspire His people to enthusiastically participate in the spread of the Gospel to all people.

Pray that God will open the hearts and minds of those people that are held captive and enslaved by Satan, through the false religions of the world that do not acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as God’s Only Begotten and Eternal Son, Whom God has made Judge of all things, and the means of Salvation from this Judgement.

Pray that all people who are prisoners of Satan’s false religions may hear the Holy Gospel, believe it, and obtain Salvation and Freedom through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
